Chelsi Shoup

Chelsi Shoup

Director of Marketing

Chelsi joined Stoney Creek Ranch in March of 2017 as the Director of Marketing. After receiving a degree in Business Marketing from Texas Christian University, Chelsi moved to Dallas to pursue a career in Marketing. After two years, Chelsi made the decision to return to Houston to be closer to family and friends and has been here ever since. Chelsi is thrilled to have found an organization that allows her to utilize her experience in serving a mission she feels passionately about - showing children the love of God through camp. A Camp Ozark veteran, Chelsi developed her understanding of the Gospel during her time as a camper, and is excited to play a role in that experience for the children that attend Stoney Creek Ranch. In her free time, Chelsi enjoys spending time with her husband, Jack, and her family and friends.

Hunter Smith

Hunter Smith

Camp Director

Hunter started working at Stoney Creek Ranch in August 2015 as a member of the weekend retreat staff, helping scrub dishes and build campfires. He fell in love with the ropes course and the beauty of the ranch during this time and was thrilled to work during the Stoney Creek Urban Initiative as the Ropes Director. Hunter is honored to serve as the new Camp Director at SCR to give back to the ministry he loves so much. He holds two degrees from Texas A&M University (Gig’ Em): a Bachelors in Political Science/Sociology and a Masters in International Affairs from the Bush School of Government and Public Service. Working at the Summer Urban Initiative helped Hunter realize his passion for service and for camping ministry. Hunter thinks it is the biggest blessing to witness the eternal impact of SCR’s ministry every day. Originally from Houston, Hunter now lives in New Ulm with his wife, Kimberly, and their basset hound, Ranger.

Nathan Logsdon

Nathan Logsdon

As a result, he switched his major to Parks and Recreation Management and continued to work at Pine Cove for three additional summers. Most recently, Nathan worked on Pine Cove's resident staff for two and a half years. Nathan graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2014 and married his wife, Sarah, in August 2016. The two now reside in La Grange.

Dwayne Pano

Dwayne Pano

Urban Initiative Director

Dwayne joined Stoney Creek Ranch in 2017 as the Urban Initiative Director. He served at Kids Across America for 12 years in many different roles. Most of his time there was spent recruiting staff for the summer time and building long-lasting programs that are still being used today. For three years prior to working at Stoney Creek Ranch, Dwayne spent time in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Dallas, Texas serving as a Youth Pastor. Dwayne believes that his time spent at both places better equipped him for the ministry he now does at Stoney Creek. He is married to Katarina Pano and they have two beautiful children, Jaden & Aubree. Dwayne truly has a heart for the urban community.

Jordan Sylvester

Jordan Sylvester

Urban Initiative Coordinator

Jordan was first introduced to Stoney Creek Ranch as a camper in the summer of 2014. After just one summer, Jordan was hooked and applied to become a counselor the following summer! Being a camp counselor impacted her life so much that she even changed her major to Recreational Science. Jordan's parents are church-planters and Jordan and her three siblings grew up serving in ministry. In high school, Jordan served on her church's praise team and when she attended Warner University, she organized a praise team to minister to students.
